A target for the bull

In a recent article by Top Gear Philippines on the Lamborghini President and CEO Stephan Winkelmann visiting the country, In his speech, Winkelmann revealed that the Italian carmaker's sales target for the Philippines is 15 units a year.

Hell yeah that can be achieved if the corrupt politicians will order a pair each, it may even surpass Winkelmann's projected target. If your not familiar with the Philippine government, we do have some or the worst CORRUPT politicians. I know that every country have their  corrupt politicians but in the Philippines they are doing it upfront.

So to answer Lamborghini's sales target, is a big Y E S! yes you can achieve the target for 15 units a year.

A guy named Lewis Hamilton

I'm humbled by watching the video. It seems that nobody from my countryman noticed who this guy was or they just didn't publicly announced it but anyway to Lewis your just not a great driver but a great man. May God give you more or even ten folds of what you have done to the street children in Manila.

Cas grave d'une moustache

Here's a serious case of a moustache. Are they somewhat related to pink panther? you decide :P

If you didn't recognize him I'm sure you will in here and the girls won't mind if he wants to grow back his killer moustache upon reading how much his net worth is.

A MUST upgrade for the Forester

Sadly my Forester didn't came with a factory fog light kit it would have save me some benjamin's. I really think that a fog kit is the first necessary upgrade for your Forester. Here are a couple reasons. First, the Forester came pre-wired. Second, the kit comes with the stalk for the fog kit that's why it's called "kit". Third, it's an easy diy (do it yourself) job with no need to remove the front bumper and lastly, it can make your Forester look complete frontage wise (see picture). Don't mind the sports grill on the picture, that's next on my list after the fog kit.

I'll have some diy write up for the fog kit as soon as I bought one.

Mighty Car Mods

I found this guys through youtube while searhing for some diy (do it yourself) for my Forester. They are a pair of aussie dudes with some skills on some diy modification on any car available in the market, what's good about these two is that some of the mods are the basics on every car like how to install a tachometer, how to paint your wheels and so on. They even have an episode where they compare a Nissan S15 and a Subaru Legacy RS with some mods like fmic and turbo upgrades, guess who won! no other than the Subaru. It smoked the Nissan on a drag race for about a yard... no I'm just kidding folks but it does beat the S15.

Go check them out!

K & N drop in filter

Here's my drop in filter replacement for the oem lame paper type for the Forester. My concern is it is oiled and I have read that some of the oils will go to the MAF sensor but I have been using this for about 7 months now and all I can say is "Great". Great to the fact that my fuel consumption now is 32~34mpg highway. What more can you ask. Nevermind those saying negative comments about it, they are just sourgraping.

The part number for the Forester is 33-2304.

Suzuki: 0% financing for 72 months. Will it help?

Here is a good write up about Suzuki here in the U.S while in my home country around asia Suzuki is the exact opposite of this article, heck! we even have a Suzuki club back home!

Suzuki posted on its Facebook page today that it was going to offer up to 0% financing for 72 months on all 2012 Suzuki models. That's quite a good deal if you qualify for it. The financing is done through American Suzuki Financial Services, and the vehicles must be purchased by May 31, 2012.

The question is, will anyone notice? With the company's lack of marketing, greatly reduced social media efforts, and shrinking dealer network, Suzuki hasn't been great at promoting itself. I don't think there's even been a press release about it.

Suzuki join a host of other manufacturers in the 0% until 5/31 club. However, this 0% is on all Suzuki models, whereas other manufactures are offering it on select nameplates, and it's for the long duration of 72 months.  It'd be great if ASMC did an ad blitz to promote the deal and get some bodies into their dealers. Is 0% for 72 mos. enough to make people go to a Suzuki dealer? I'm sure the company will see a spike in May sales; then again, with sales as low as they've been, any increase is a good one.

A 2.5L Forester Boxer Engine

Last December we finally gave up our 2008 Yaris Sedan for a brand new Forester. The Yaris serves us best with almost 38mpg from day to day driving. We went to a Subaru dealer in Glendale (will post review on the dealership) to choose a Forester variant. Upon reaching their lot a 2009 XT caught my eyes, while inspecting I reckoned that it's too much gas guzzler due to it being a turbo model. The Sales Consultant then pointed us to a brand spanking new Metallic Blue Pearl Forester sitting on the center lot. Upon inspecting it we were sold to it being a brand new car and I were the first to break it in.

Here is the "In with the new, Out with the old" cliche.

While driving it home there is a night and day difference between the two. First is the acceleration, the Forester pulls strong even though it's an A/T with just 4 speed tranny but with the help of the Sport Mode it's a different story. The handling also exceeds my expectations with a factory installed front and rear sway bar I try to enter a corner with 40mph and it just tears the road apart, but you can feel the rear not so planted on the road with that speed you can also upgrade the sway bars and it's a different story. The gas consumption is a bit on a downside being a 2.5L from our previous 1.5L. Highway driving I got 31~33mpg while city driving I only got 22~23mpg with occasional traffic.

The styling for me is just right, it doesn't shout too much attention like the X6 bimmer. The front bumper though looks like a ship with a slightly upper curvature but a front lip spoiler will fix that plus a couple upgrade of wheel and tire with a subtle drop it's gonna look like this minus the hood scoop.

Overall I can say that the Forester is one helluvah ride to have, it can be a gas guzzler but it serves it's purpose. It's bang for the buck!

Threadless no more

I have found a unique site that caters to my needs in terms of shirt design a couple years ago, it's called Threadless. Upon inspecting there website I was sold to there designs, much more it was designed by individuals and freelance artist from all around the globe. I then bought a pair and a pair after until I'm hooked. Not only there designs were cool even there shirt packaging at that time was excellent and the price is cheap. (see pix below)

The shirt fabric were also soft and thick, the prints were nicely done. Not up until recently when I bought from them. Upon receiving the item the packaging was horrible, it was like wrapped in a black garbage bag and the fabric was lame I mean it was thin (I don't know the clothing term) and the print was horrible. I don't know whats wrong with there production these days but I'm just not sold on it anymore.

Hey! Threadless Y U NO HIRE GOOD QC?!

Cartown Truck in the flesh

I stumbled this Cartown Milk truck while strolling on an outlet mall the other day, well it's not really from Cartown but I'am sure this is behind there idea. It seems weird when you are actually a feet apart from the real thing. You must know by now the popular Facebook game Cartown. If not then shoot yourself.
