Enjoying the perks of life following his championship-filled NBA career, MJ officially confirms his engagement to longtime girlfriend Yvette Prieto.

Dating the Cuban-born Prieto for the past three years, this will be Jordan's second marriage after a 2006 divorce that ended a 17 year marriage with Juanita Jordan. MJ Made the engagement official today on Charlotte's WCNC Television, saying he proposed to Prieto on Christmas Day.
No official date for the wedding just yet, however it will definitely be interesting to see MJ's choice of footwear for the big day.  credit goes to Luis Sanchez

Sneaker Watch: The NBA Celebrates Christmas Day In Grand Fashion

Lockout has ended last December 25, and the nice thing to celebrate christmas morning in the states is the NBA christmas special, for sneaker heads out there this one is for us.

of ball and wheel

I'm not a motorbike fan for the reason that I don't know how to ride one and motorbike is too risky for me. I bump an article on a famous website about motorbikes, what caught my attention is the owner of those bikes, want to guess who? yeah you got it right it's his airness himself Michael Jordan and it is being auctioned. I wonder how much would one cost?

Five different bikes will officially be auctioned of at January's Las Vegas Premier Motorcycle Auction, including makes from Yamaha and Suzuki that date as far back as 2004.

What makes these bikes special is that they each feature a tie-in to elements of Michael Jordan's historic career and/or legendary sneaker line. There's a 2004 Yamaha YZFR1 done in a University Blue color scheme to salute Jordan's Carolina background from the team's inaugural season; a 2005 Suzuki GSX-R1000 is decked out with Air Jordan XX-style graphics; the 2006 Suzuki GSX-R1000 carries a "Gold Medal" theme, inspired by MJ's Olympic Gold Medal wins in 1984 and 1992; a 2007 Suzuki GSX-R1000 features a white and blue color scheme that was also used on the "MJ Motorsports" Air Jordan 4; the 2008 Suzuki GSX-R1000 pulls its look from the "Titanium" Air Jordan XX3 Premier. Riders of these bikes include Montez Steward, Jake Holden, Aaron Yates and Geoff May.
The Las Vegas Premier Motorcycle Auction will take place at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino from January 12-14, 2012. Text credits goes to Brandon Richard. Pix Credit here

2012

It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine, this line from REM's song is the exact description for the nustradamuses who thinks the world will end next year. They said a large meteor will crash into earth on December 21st, others said that a super volcano will erupt thus causing the surface of the ocean to shift and can brimg a super tsunami. Well, sorry to disappoint the believers but I think the world WON'T end, you asked why? Because most of this so called science experts based their predictions on the Mayan calendar, hey! The mayans didn't finish making their calendars 'coz they were anahilated that's why their calendar is up to dec 21, 2012. To tell you frankly many people don't believe their BS, remember the y2k bug? So instead of telling people that the world will end next year why don't they pour their efforts on some solutions to the worlds biggest problem - poverty, and just let the ONE above take care when to end the world. I'am sure when the world ends there will be no rolling credits on the big screen. Advance Happy new year everyone!

90's music kid

Growing in a music minded family is a thing I cannot forget in my teens. Who wouldn't like to hear the songs of Gloria (Estefan), Selena, The Bangles, New kids on the block, Scorpions, Phil (Colins) and Journey to name a few. To add up to this, during that era I commute to school for about 10miles a day and the means of transpo is a Jeepney (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeepney) or we call it Jeeps/Jeep. On that time the operator's installed some heart pounding sound system to keep the passengers mood upbeat due to the afternoon rush hour traffic.

Upon hearing this mix made by DJ Neil Armstrong (http://www.djneilarmstrong.com/blog/) I feel like I was once again on my 90's but the nice thing of this mix is that some songs are something like what you called - the ones we secretly enjoy when nobody is around. The good thing about this is that you won't know the playlist until you bought the cd or if you really like to peek on the list you can always ask Google but where's the suspense in that, right? You can get the online mix here

For about a month now this mix is the only list on my iPod who cares this mix is about an hour long. If you decided to get one done forget to say thanks by following me.

Ayrton Senna - The Believer

"By being a racing driver you are racing other people and if you no longer go on a gap you are no longer racing" I got this quote from the movie of Ayrton titled "Senna Movie". First off, to anybody who didn't know who he was, ask Mr.Google who he is and this topic is not for you to read! I can say that even though I'm still on my teens when the latter faced his tragic death at imola on 1994, I can say that he is the best F1 driver. You asked why?

well here's why...
-Ayrton is never afraid to gamble on the track
-Ayrton is never afraid to race on wet, rainy track
-Ayrton is very vocal about his feelings of the sport
-Ayrton is a genius

There were no fancy computer and power steering F1 cars on his era, that's why when you see him take on a corner, it looked as if the car was dancing.

I can write all day on how great he is but you must watch the movie so that you know what I'm talking
in here. If you want to get a copy of the movie just pm and follow me I'll help you get one, and by the way I don't support piracy here.

Driving in the fog

Every morning I drop my wife to her work and we seldom encounter a foggy road. On the mid-week of November we surprisingly encountered one stretch of road a mile away from her work. Here is a 3 simple steps on how to deal driving in the fogs. I know you probably knew this one but for the benefit of other inconsiderate drivers out there this one if for YOU!

First - slow down to a comfortable speed depending on the visibility of the road. On our experience, some drivers are speeding the hell up as if they have 20/20 vision. Some even didn't turn their headlights on or parking light and did I tell you that we are driving on a side street.

Second - turn on the headlight and fog lamps if your vehicle is equipped with one.

Third
- use your wipers if there are some mist on your windshield.
And lastly, use some common sense and drive defensively!

Long lost post

Hi there, it's been awhile since I updated my blog due to the fact that me and my family have a worth while vacation back home. In the next few days I will blog the awesome scenery we've been through throughout our 3 months away from the bustling city of Los Angeles.

For the mean time let me share to you in a fast track paced of the events that occurred.

June 2011 Moving Out - I got more muscles in my biceps with the expense of my back aching like hell 'coz we move out from our old apartment and we decided to get a storage unit. Here's the fun part, I use our trusty Toyota yaris sedan in moving the things, and oh boy within one week and thrice a day of back and forth to and from the storage unit I finally moved all of our things.

July 2011 The Arrival - As the first day of the month appears on your calendar in the states we already have hugs and kisses from our relatives and friends back home, and enjoying the delicacies and foods!

August 2011 Vacation - Spending some quality time with relatives, friends and family members we missed so much.

September 2011 'Till next time - As the last date of the month approaches, we or shall I say I have mixed emotions, happy and sad. Happy 'coz we'll once again feel comfort and cozy physically in L.A 'coz of the weather. Sad 'coz we'll be missing the people close to ours hearts back home.

Mid September 2011 - We arrive in L.A around midnight and settle in a motel which is not okay, but we do manage to quickly get an apartment unit.

That's all for now. By the way my blog will remain the same I'll post some random things in the future.

Honda S I R

The year was 2006 when we got our first car it's an old japanese domestic ride they called Suzuki Carry. Anyway, I became an enthusiast thru that car searching parts and d i y (do it yourself) articles when I stumbled in a local honda club forum. From then on I got starstruck on the s i r, the famous honda model was last released on 2000 with a beastly B16 engine with a 160 hp at 7600 rpm not bad for a stock model huh? aside from that it is available in funky colors: passion orange, tafetta white to name a few. All you need to do is lower the car and put some nice rims with a low profile tire, that's just for me that's what I would do if I got one I like it simple that doesn't scream for so much attention. The resale value for a 11 year old car is not that bad, today it sells between 340k to 400k depending on the condition of the car ofcourse.

Sadly though that some honda owners start converting their vti to sir look so when your in the market for an sir you better have the knowledge how spot those fake from the OG but sir nowadays are overated there are so many cars to choose from. If I have a spare money though I'd get an sir in a heart beat, too bad I'm now beginning to grow on my toyota yaris heck an sir can't beat the yaris' fuel consumption but thats a different story...

Be defensive...

Today is just like any other usual day, picking up my kid in school then next travel for about 14.8 miles to pick my wife. A warm day and a less traffic with minimal reckless drivers, we went to jack in the box couple of blocks from her school to get something to eat. While traveling I was on the median lane and driving like a "granny" while munching the curly french fries from Jack in the box when suddenly a 1990 boxtype corolla sedan began to changed lane towards me, my front bumper were just centimeters away from his driver side door, trying to avoid being hit I even went on the oncoming traffic thanks to my quick reflexes we avoided an accident. After that the driver on the corolla just sped his way thru the traffic like nothing happened. Thanks to the curly fries it keeps me calm 'coz usually I would honk a horn and catch up and stare with an aggressive look on reckless drivers.

I've been pondering what that brainless person thinks?, it clearly states on the California drivers handbook when changing lanes, first is to signal, look on the rearview mirror, right side mirror then look over your shoulder, in short just another reckless driver out on the open road. I have encountered this kind of driver numerous times from a female or male driver, old or young. One thing that pisses me off is we don't get to use our horns in here, it's not that we are not allowed but more of a road courtesy. Using a horn can prevent accidents in many ways. When you don't use your horn it's like being courteous versus your ego. I don't mind having no road courtesy as long as I still have my pride and don't get involved in an accident with a broken ego besides it's such a hassle.

To avoid in this kind of situation you must always be a defensive driver anticipate the car in front and behind you know your move to avoid any accidents.

Remember this, you will always meet at the stop light no matter if he/she left you for a mile.

There's always a first time

I've read blogs and heard them a gazillion times before in fact one of my office mates before and a fellow gearhead encouraged me to start blogging. He said that it will earn me some money and I get some odd jobs (graphic design) here. Well if you ask why am I just starting now? Simple, I'm bored and I want to express my opinions on my everyday travel here in the U.S and some points of view, and oh not to mention I also want to earn money who doesn't want one nowadays. This blog will not contain some hard to comprehend words that you take your time searching at google, this will just compose of some "layman's term" words. Plain and simple! I'm not trying to impress anyone here. So, that's it for some introduction.
